Pagurus granosimanus (Stimpson, 1859)

The Grainyhand Hermit crab have orange or red antennae, legs of young individuals may be yellow. Pagurus granosimanus have blue dots all over the legs. The olive-green carapace to 2,0 cm.This species is nocturnal.Pagurus granosimanus can be found on rocky, cobbles, and among algae.

This hermit crab is often found in Tegula funebralis, Searlesia dira or Nucella lamellosa shells, or small individuals live in Littorina shells.

Similar to P. beringanus,P. hemphilli and P. samuelis.

Synonym:
Eupagurus granosimanus Stimpson, 1859 (transferred to Pagurus by Holmes (1900))
