Taron dubius (Hutton, 1878)

Taron is a genus of marine gastropod mollusks in the family Fasciolariidae, the spindle snails, the tulip snails and their allies.

Taron dubius is endemic to NewZealand. The living animal is bright red in colour. This species can be found on low tide on or under rocks to over 20 m.
