Amphichaetodon howensis, also known as the Lord Howe coralfish inhabits coral reefs at depths of 10 to 50 m. He belongs to the omnivorous and is mostly to be seen in pairs. The Lord Howe coralfish is almost never exported through the aquarium trade. Distributed in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, from New Caledonia to southern Australia and New Zealand.
Remarks:
Butterflyfish are not recommended for reefs as they will pick at or eat a wide variety of corals, fan worms, and other invertebrates. Most Butterflyfish are known to pick at Aiptaisia, a parasitic anemone.
