Periclimenes mclaughlinae Fransen, 2006

Periclimenes mclaughlinae lives associated with the sea urchin Phyllacanthus imperialis. The species is named for Patsy A. McLaughlin, renowned carcinologist.

Color uniformly dark brown-red over entire body, same colour as the ambulacral regions of the sea urchin. Juvenile translucent.
