Info

Naisdoris vitiligata Paz-Sedano, Cobb, Gosliner & Pola, 2024

In 2004, the nudibranch Okenia liklik was moved to the newly created genus Naisdoris and renamed Naisdoris liklik (Gosliner, 2004). The small nudibranch was the only member of its genus until 2024.

In 2024, three species were described, these are:
Naisdoris aurornata Paz-Sedano, Cobb, Gosliner & Pola, 2024
Naisdoris labalsaensis Paz-Sedano, Cobb, Gosliner & Pola, 2024
Naisdoris vitiligata Paz-Sedano, Cobb, Gosliner & Pola, 2024

Unfortunately, the papers describing the small snails are not yet freely available, so we will complete the article Naisdoris vitiligata at a later date.

The species name "vitiligata" means "white spots" based on the vitiligo white spot disease in humans.
