Feeds on detritus.

Host: Symbiotic with Solaster stimpsoni, Pteraster tesselatus, Luidia foliata, and Dermasterias imbricata, Parastichopus californicus and Parastichopus parvimensis, Cryptochiton stelleri, Diodora aspera, Megathura crenulata and Loimia montagui.
