Telmatactis forskalii (Hemprich and Ehrenberg in Ehrenberg, 1834)

The epibenthic club anemone gets its name from the button-like or club-like thickened ends of its up to 90 tentacles.This solitary anemone is found in the infralittoral and subtidal zones and especially in coral reefs and on rocky bottoms.Telmatactis species are often very variable in color.

The sea anemone lives at depths of up to approx. 40 meters and can reach a diameter of almost 20 cm, although animals from the Mediterranean generally remain somewhat smaller.
