Phyllodesmium jakobsenae is a xenia mimic nudibranch. This species lives and feeds on Xenia soft corals.Phyllodesmium jakobsenae is a "solar-powered sea slug" (use the zooxanthellae of their prey).

P.jakobsenae is named to honor Wera Jakobson as a donator of research sea slug projects.
