Platydoris sabulosa Dorgan, Valdés & Gosliner, 2002

Platydoris sabulosa have a typical body shape for the genus. The mantle is wide and the body relatively narrow.The mantle is leathery to touch.

The background colour is mainly translucent whitish with many light greyish brown patches and a few darker reddish brown patches. The larger dark reddish brown patches are especially around the edge of the mantle.

The underside of the mantle is translucent white with an inner ring of brown patches.Platydoris sabulosa grows up to 14 cm in lenght.

Sea slugs of genus Platydoris feeds on sponges.
